    March of Dimes 04\19\2008

March of Dimes Logo 2On Saturday 04\19 Adam and I walked 4.2 Miles for the March of Dimes, it was a tough route a lot of twists and turns, it took us about an hour and 20 minutes to complete. Our biggest accomplishment was that we crossed the finish line, I was in tears because of the pain in my knee and ankles but I made it across. If it was not for Adam being my partner in this walk I probably would not have made it to the finish.

You guys are doing great. I would have to say that 1 hour and 20 min for 4.2 miles sounds great. I don't ever walk that much, but I do use Aleve to help get me through those pains. But you know the old saying NO PAIN NO GAIN or in our cause we will say No pain then we have no loss.........okay it does not sound right. But you guys keep going and it will be so worth it.

Really enjoyed your progress pictures. But I had to keep going to your first pictures to these pictures. And I can tell a big difference.

Wow - It took me 1 hour and 12 minutes for only  4 miles  of STRAIGHT route - a fairly simple route and no pain - I am so impressed with your time and perseverance!!!!  I know the first 5k I did, if it wasn't for Jim right there with me, I probably would have sat down and quit....but you didn't!!!
#1 - you made it - even though Adam was your encourager - YOU finished! Woo Hoo!!!
#2 - trust me, the second one is easier!
    big hugs,

Great job and just remember to push through the pain. When i first started i had many aches and pains and they are getting better. as Jillian says durring her shred dvd when thouse muscles start burning and aching they are rebelling change and you have to push them and make them change. If the pains continue to long you will need to probably see a dr. When i first started i used a lot of tylenol and i sometimes still do. Great Job of pushing through and you are doing great.
